I never knew how much I could learn from an infant. The week our second grandchild was born was crazy. It brought much-needed lemon chiffon pie, but we were also facing very sour lemons. He was born into a world that was upside down and topsy turvy. It was a time that our family was amid despair and heartache. After the first month, well, I can’t even remember the first month, nor the next, or the next.
Now skip forward to 15 months later, and I look at our sweet little Jack-Jack and realize how much I have learned from him.
He has taught me that life is developmental. Life is much like the development of a baby. One thing builds upon the next and then the next and so forth. We can’t rush the building. A strong foundation has to be constructed first then we add one brick at a time.
During the development, we will be thrown into situations and circumstances that we can’t fix. We will get excited about somethings, but then there will be circumstances that take our breath away. The adversities will give us life lessons, and the uplifting will bring us joy. These life lessons are developmental, building upon each other one step at a time.
Have a blessed day! As I tell my grandbabies, Cupcake loves you.

James 1:2-3 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance
