Two weeks ago, my three little words were BE A SUPERBLOOMER. This is my goal for 2026, and I want you to be a SUPERBLOOMER, too. I want you to bloom for your purpose in 2026. So how do we do that?
We must awaken.
A friend of mine JD Walt begins his morning Wake Up Call with Ephesians 5:14 Wake up, sleeper, and rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.
So how do we awaken, how do we wake up the old sleeper, sprout and bloom? It isn’t an easy process, and this process doesn’t happen overnight.
Since I am married to a farmer of course I thought about farming and planting. The farmer plants the seed in the ground and then must trust and wait patiently, but in the meantime, the seed needs conditions that will feed it into growth and awakening.
A seed needs 4 things: water, oxygen, the correct temperature, and light. So, what does that mean for us?
For us to awaken on purpose and bloom, we have to be watered, have breath, be in the right environment, and have the light.
Today we are going to figure out how we are watered?
I’m sure you can think of a time you were thirsty. A time that you were hot and tired and just needed a drink. Think of what quenches your thirst. It may be ice cold water for some, it may be Gatorade for others or it may even be sweet tea. But to rehydrate and for our body to regulate and maintain proper function you must have liquid to take care of the thirst.
Jesus says in John 7:37 If anyone is thirsty come to me and drink
Christ gives us the invitation to come to Him for the spiritual water we need.
When we are thirsty, we are having a strong desire for something. At times we turn to earthly things, such as power, pleasure and success, but these things usually leave us empty. They simply don’t quench our thirst. However, when we accept Christs invitation to come to Him, He waters us through the Holy Spirit.
He is the living water, the source that satisfies our deepest needs, cleanses us, and empowers us. He is the everlasting flow into us to create in us a clean heart. The holy spirit fills us, and we are then able to pour Christ out to others.
(HOLY SPIRIT RAIN DOWN- one of my favorite church songs. Christ is the living water that rains down on us and enables us to bloom.)
Begin today quenching your thirst with Christ not with what the world or others tell us will satisfy us. Fill your cup with the Holy Spirit having Him water you daily by:
1. Showing up for JESUS – Start your day in the Word.
2. Showing up for OTHERS – Serve others, whether or not they are like you, whether or not they annoy you or are difficult to understand. That is what Jesus did; He showed up for everyone.
3. Showing up for YOU – Fill your cup before you help fill others’ cups.
WE WILL FIND JOY WHEN WE SHOW UP FOR JESUS, OTHERS, AND OURSELVES.
As Father Mike says, “You pray for me, and I will pray for you.”
As Tara Leigh says: He’s where the joy is.
Have a great week, Cupcake loves you and so does Jesus.
